Your responsibilities will also include effective planning and execution of company objectives, maximizing performance and productivity through sensible store scheduling, and developing human capital through proactive recruitment, selection, and education of employees. Additionally, you will be tasked with protecting company assets through loss prevention and expense efficiencies, identifying and developing new business opportunities, and maintaining consistent communication of divisional and regional priorities to store teams. This position requires a results-oriented leader who can model total development and serve as a steward of Dollar General's mission and values. You will need to demonstrate strong financial analysis skills to interpret operating statements and manage budgets effectively. Your ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while providing superior customer service will be crucial. Collaboration with your team to achieve objectives in a participative management style is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead the activities of all stores within the assigned area of operation.

Requirements

  • Four+ years of retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations in retail, grocery, or convenience store operations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.
  • Demonstrated results-oriented leadership skills.
  • Financial analysis skills sufficient to interpret operating statements and manage budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team to achieve objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in 'big-box' retail management.
  • Ability to react appropriately under pressure and apply good judgment in ambiguous situations.
