About the position

The Retail District Manager at SalonCentric is responsible for maximizing sales and achieving business objectives across multiple store locations within the district. This role involves attracting, hiring, retaining, and developing a team of Store Managers and Associates to ensure excellence in selling, customer service, merchandising, and operations. The District Manager will monitor business trends, implement strategies to meet sales goals, and uphold company standards across all stores.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze business trends across all stores within the district.
  • Develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals for Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure company selling and customer service standards are upheld consistently across all stores.
  • Recruit, hire, retain, and develop a team of Store Managers and Associates.
  • Drive business through effective scheduling and payroll management.
  • Coach store teams to maintain operational best practices.
  • Ensure protection of company assets by meeting established shrinkage goals.
  • Direct, train, and supervise store teams in maintaining visual standards.
  • Ensure consistent execution of pricing, merchandising, and marketing strategies.
  • Communicate selling and inventory trends to Regional management and corporate partners.
  • Attend and participate in sales and management training meetings.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of retail management experience.
  • 3 to 5 years managing multiple freestanding store locations.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving selling and operational excellence.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong merchandising skills and proven leadership in traffic driving initiatives.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management or related field required.

Nice-to-haves

  • In lieu of a degree, 10 or more years of relevant experience may suffice.
