We are seeking a talented Retail Marketing Manager to join our team at Bluhawk. As a Retail Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading Bluhawk's marketing efforts in support of the owner's strategic goals. The Marketing Manager will ensure that JLL's marketing platforms (marketing for leasing, sales, and revenue), tools, and Core Practices are effectively employed to drive results and maximize client satisfaction. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will play a vital role in implementing an effective marketing strategy for future development, coordinating special events, and providing superior client service to achieve business goals. The role involves the development of the annual marketing plan for the property based on Bluhawk's strategic goals, creation of a marketing budget to support the marketing plan, and ongoing monitoring of the marketing budget with monthly reforecasting and adjustments as needed to meet year-end projections. Other responsibilities include analysis of sales and statistical data, financial reporting, public relations, media buying, traditional and digital media management, program results documentation, and general administrative duties. The Marketing Manager will also develop and effectively execute sales promotions, special events, and internal and external communication strategies to drive retailer sales, establish partnerships with retailers, and manage Bluhawk's digital media programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Bluhawk's marketing efforts in support of the owner's strategic goals.
  • Develop the annual marketing plan for the property based on Bluhawk's strategic goals.
  • Create and monitor the marketing budget, making adjustments as needed to meet year-end projections.
  • Analyze sales and statistical data, financial reporting, and public relations.
  • Manage media buying and traditional and digital media management.
  • Develop and execute sales promotions, special events, and communication strategies to drive retailer sales.
  • Establish partnerships with retailers to maximize individual store sales through communications and promotions.
  • Manage Bluhawk's digital media programs including social media, mobile, website, and email.
  • Utilize market and consumer research to develop the center's marketing plan and support leasing efforts.
  • Compile relevant information and create professional sales materials to support leasing efforts.
  • Maintain knowledge of the trade area, competitive properties, market demographics, and available media.
  • Review monthly sales reports to track key retailer and category trends.
  • Cultivate involvement in community activities, representing the property, client, and JLL.
  • Develop a public relations action plan, send out press releases, and track publicity.
  • Complete special assignments as directed by the General Manager and/or Regional Marketing Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years in retail, marketing, advertising, or comparable business experience.
  • 1-2+ years retail experience.
  • Shopping center experience preferred, but not required.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of marketing fundamentals and research.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Special event coordination and management experience.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Sales/negotiation skills and sponsorships/revenue generation experience a plus.
  • Experience in managing budgets is essential.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings.
  • Strong team player with proactive and self-motivated attitude.
