About the position

The Retail Financial Analyst at Kia America, Inc. plays a crucial role in dealer business management systems and reporting. This position is responsible for assisting with and monitoring dealer financial and performance analysis, ensuring the accuracy of monthly financial statements, and compliance with Kia's operating standards. The Analyst will engage in significant financial statement analysis, data analytics, system audits, and dealer reporting, while also preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support Dealers (Controllers/Business Managers) to submit accurate and on-time monthly financial statements, leading to database maintenance, KPI tracking, and monitoring dealer compliance.
  • Work across departments to ensure accurate dealer records and improve financial reporting accuracy through audits and system validations.
  • Perform data analysis and industry research to support accurate monthly financial reports and insightful performance analysis summaries.
  • Participate in Retail Development monthly accounting cycle for budget management, dealer billing, requisitions, and vendor payments.
  • Respond to legal discoveries and requests for composite statements and other dealer performance records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related major from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum three to five years in accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • Automotive industry experience preferred (OEM or Retailer).
  • Superior organizational ability.
  • Excellent communication skills required (written and oral).
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills in Windows environment.
  • Strong graphical skills for visual presentation of performance metrics.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting, accounting systems, and month-end close.
  • Ability to interpret dealership financial statements.
