About the position

The Front-End Department Head (FEDH) at PGA TOUR Superstore is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience at the store's Club Services Desk and Front-End operations. This role involves overseeing the execution of the Experience Game Plan, managing product conversions, handling store returns, and maintaining merchandise standards. The FEDH acts as a leader within the department, providing training and support to associates while also engaging directly with customers to enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the best possible customer experience through Club Services Desk and Front-End operations.
  • Implement the Experience Game Plan consistently across the department.
  • Execute product conversion processes and handle store returns proficiently.
  • Manage service-related processes and adhere to Company Merchandise Standards.
  • Act as a Starter (greeter) to ensure customers receive a warm welcome and guidance.
  • Direct on-floor work assignments and provide departmental training for associates.
  • Participate in weekly department evaluations with the Sales and Service Manager (SSM).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and operational Front-End and Services area.
  • Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Open and close the store, handling cash and customer escalations as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage conflict and lead conflict resolution.
  • Quick learning ability regarding business acumen with training.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership skills with a focus on customer service and servant leadership.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
  • Familiarity with club repair duties and customer service in a retail environment.
