About the position

The Key Carrier role is an advanced position that extends the responsibilities of a Coordinator. Key Carriers primarily perform Coordinator duties but also take on leadership roles as needed, ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently. This position requires open availability, including nights and weekends, and emphasizes exceptional customer service and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Alternate between Coordinator and Key Carrier roles based on store needs.
  • Model exceptional customer service and create a positive customer experience.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the store team performs tasks according to the store plan and prioritize as needed.
  • Address immediate customer service issues and provide coaching to Associates.
  • Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
  • Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
  • Ensure Associates adhere to all operational procedures.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures according to company guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback to Associates.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to enhance effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and participate in shrink reduction goals.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Team player with effective collaboration skills with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures.
  • Understanding of merchandise flow in stores.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach, delegate, and follow up on multiple tasks.
  • Capable of acting quickly under challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to multi-task with superior communication and organizational skills, paying attention to detail.
  • 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
