About the position

The Retail General Manager at Pressed Juicery is responsible for overseeing the sales performance, guest experience, operations, hiring, and talent development within the store. This role aims to create an environment that exceeds guest expectations while maximizing productivity and profitability. The manager will lead a team, drive sales growth, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee sales performance and ensure the store exceeds sales plans.
  • Drive company sales growth and profitability through effective selling and teamwork.
  • Model and implement active product selling and sampling in-store.
  • Create a guest-obsessed culture prioritizing guest experience and sales goals.
  • Utilize mystery shop and NPS programs to enhance guest experience.
  • Engage guests and resolve problems effectively.
  • Lead and develop hourly team members, including interviewing and coaching.
  • Anticipate staffing needs and manage talent planning and recruitment.
  • Ensure training completion and provide continuous education opportunities.
  • Establish a culture of accountability through performance management.
  • Understand business reporting and guest insights to address opportunities.
  • Manage store's P&L, KPIs, and inventory effectively.
  • Control labor costs through effective scheduling and management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Store Manager in retail or restaurant management.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 15 members.
  • Strong guest relationship-building skills and exceptional service delivery.
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures and processes quickly.
  • Proven success in achieving sales goals through guest-centric selling.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in sales principles and KPI deliverables.
  • Demonstrated success managing a profit and loss statement.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
