About the position
The General Manager at Visionworks is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the store's operations and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This position requires a business-savvy individual who can drive profitability while managing a service-oriented team. The GM will engage with doctors, manage daily operations, and support staff development to achieve financial and performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the store's profitability while ensuring a positive patient/customer experience.
- Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs and patient/customer experience.
- Plan daily operations by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and eyewear services.
- Hire, train, coach, and develop store associates to perform their roles effectively.
- Resolve obstacles in the patient/customer experience as needed.
- Lead and improve all operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of related experience required.
- Optical management experience preferred.
- Licensed GMs must have a current State Opticians License.
