About the position

The General Manager at Visionworks is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the store's operations and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. This position requires a business-savvy individual who can drive profitability while managing a service-oriented team. The GM will engage with doctors, manage daily operations, and support staff development to enhance the patient journey from appointment to eyewear pickup.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the store's profitability while maintaining a high-quality patient/customer experience.
• Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs and improve the patient/customer experience.
• Plan and manage daily operations, including incoming traffic and scheduled services.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop store associates to ensure excellence in their roles.
• Resolve obstacles in the patient/customer experience as needed.
• Lead and improve operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three or more years of related experience required.
• Optical management experience preferred.
• Licensed GMs must have a current State Opticians License.
