About the position

The General Manager (GM) at Visionworks is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the store's operations and ensuring a high-quality customer experience. The GM will drive profitability while managing a service-oriented team, engaging with doctors, and optimizing the patient journey from appointment to eyewear pickup. This position requires a blend of business acumen and a passion for customer service, aiming to meet and exceed financial and performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the store's profitability while ensuring a positive patient/customer experience.
• Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs and enhance the patient/customer experience.
• Plan and manage daily operations, including incoming traffic and scheduled services.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop store associates to excel in their roles.
• Resolve obstacles in the patient/customer experience as needed.
• Lead and improve operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three or more years of related experience required.
• Optical management experience preferred.
• Licensed GMs must have a current State Opticians License.
