About the position

The Visionworks General Manager (GM) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the business operations and team management within a Visionworks store. This position focuses on maximizing profitability while ensuring an exceptional patient and customer experience. The GM engages with doctors, manages store associates, and drives operational activities to meet financial and performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the store's profitability while ensuring a positive patient/customer experience.
• Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs and enhance patient/customer experience.
• Prepare and plan daily business operations by managing incoming traffic and scheduled services.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop store associates to perform their roles with excellence.
• Remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient/customer experience.
• Lead and improve all operational activities to meet financial and customer experience goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three or more years of related experience required.
• Optical management experience preferred.
• Licensed GMs must have a current State Opticians License.
