About the position
The Retail Golf Equipment Sales Associate at Golf Galaxy is responsible for creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers by providing knowledgeable assistance and support. This role emphasizes customer engagement, adherence to merchandising standards, and fostering an inclusive environment for both teammates and customers. The associate will actively promote company programs and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established guidelines.
- Promote company programs such as customer loyalty and warranty sales.
- Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
- Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
- Support the team across the store with a collaborative approach.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Prior retail experience preferred.
- Golf industry experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
