About the position
The position at Golf Galaxy involves creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers by providing knowledgeable assistance and maintaining high standards of store presentation. Teammates are expected to engage with customers, understand their needs, and promote company programs while ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs.
- Support customers throughout their shopping experience.
- Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following established guidelines.
- Promote company programs such as customer loyalty and warranty sales.
- Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company information.
- Create an inclusive store environment for teammates and customers.
- Support the team across the store as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Prior retail experience preferred.
- Golf industry experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
