About the position
As a Retail Golf Equipment Sales Associate at Golf Galaxy, you will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers who share a passion for golf. You will assist customers in finding the right golf equipment and provide them with information about our products and services. Upholding company merchandising and presentation standards is crucial, and you will be responsible for following established floor sets, signage requirements, and inventory presentation standards. Additionally, you will promote company programs such as customer loyalty participation and warranty sales, contributing to the overall success of the store. Safety and loss prevention are also key components of this role. You will be expected to adhere to established policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality of all company information. As a team player, you will take an all-hands-on-deck approach, supporting your colleagues across the store and performing other tasks as assigned by management. Your ability to create a positive and inclusive store environment will be essential in ensuring that every customer leaves satisfied and eager to return.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and proactively approach them to understand their needs.

Requirements
- Prior retail experience preferred.
- Golf industry experience preferred.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
- Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
