About the position

The Lead at GolfGalaxy plays a crucial role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. This position focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while providing direction and support to team members. The Lead is responsible for fostering a people-first culture, ensuring effective team collaboration, and maintaining merchandising standards. This role also involves training new teammates and coaching existing staff to align their responsibilities with the organization's goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to all golfers.
• Provide direction and leadership to teammates in the store.
• Assist in building and hiring a strong team through in-store interviews and tours.
• Plan and organize store operations 30 days in advance with the Assistant Store Manager.
• Ensure brand standards are met and tasks are prioritized based on urgency.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards.
• Assist with general supervision in accordance with company policies.
• Train teammates on company procedures and onboarding processes.
• Coach and develop teammates, emphasizing the importance of their roles.
• Create an inclusive environment for both teammates and customers.
• Adhere to safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet using ladders or aerial devices.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours continuously).
