About the position

The position involves leveraging Cognos TM1 for enterprise data modeling and analytical reporting, primarily focusing on finance and sales/marketing. The role requires collaboration with business and project teams to develop TM1 applications and support reporting needs, ensuring effective data structures and reporting techniques are utilized.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Cognos TM1 in the modeling of enterprise data and in the creation of enterprise and analytical reporting needs.
• Facilitate the analysis of reporting needs (functional and technical), identifying effective reporting techniques and data structures which integrate with TM1.
• Create design and technical specifications and develop against those specifications based on understanding business functional requirements.
• Develop TM1 applications/cubes in support of established business needs.
• Support business and project team members in the training, review, and support of reporting and analytics platforms with significant focus on the areas of Finance and Sales/Marketing.
• Develop TI processes and TM1 rules/feeders in support of extending existing and in support of new TM1 solutions and applications.
• Develop, execute, and facilitate issue resolution against formal test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or Accounting / Finance.
• Advanced knowledge of TM1 TI Processes and TM1 Rules.
• Strong SQL development experience.
• Previous experience in the use of Cognos TM1 in support of planning efforts within an organization.
• Significant experience within TM1 9.5.2 and one of the following: Cognos BI, SAP Business Objects, Oracle OBIEE, Microstrategy, Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Prior experience in the deployment and/or administration of TM1 environment is a plus.
• Retail and wholesale industry experience is a plus.
