About the position

The Retail Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory assets across all High Profile retail locations. This role involves managing the Retail Inventory Specialist and providing guidance on various inventory-related tasks, including cycle counts, full physical inventories, adjustments, reconciliations, and managing expiring and aging inventory. The manager will also ensure that correct intake processes and procedures are followed. Monthly reporting on Adjustment Dollars and Discrepancies is a key responsibility, and the manager will collaborate with Area Managers and Store Managers to mitigate loss effectively. In addition to these responsibilities, the Retail Inventory Manager will partner with the Director of Retail Operations and Retail Field Specialist to identify and implement inventory process improvements and efficiencies. The role requires maintaining active knowledge of incoming inventory and on-hand inventory levels, developing weekly plans with Area Managers, Store Managers, and Dispensary Teams to ensure timely processing of deliveries. Training all locations on the proper intake process for incoming deliveries is crucial, ensuring that products match manifest descriptions and resolving any variances with Buyers. The manager will also ensure reconciliation between physical counts, backend counts, and inventory tracking systems. Communication with state regulatory agencies is necessary, particularly in creating digital manifests for dispensary teams. The role involves collaboration with the Accounting Manager and Retail Purchasing Specialist for timely invoice uploads via inventory tracking software. Overall, the Retail Inventory Manager oversees all aspects of retail inventory, ensuring efficient operations from intake through to customer purchase at the POS, while also ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory assets in all High Profile retail locations.
  • Oversee the Retail Inventory Specialist role and provide guidance on inventory processes.
  • Provide monthly reporting on Adjustment Dollars and Discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Area Managers and Store Managers to mitigate loss.
  • Partner with the Director of Retail Operations on inventory process improvements.
  • Maintain inventory reporting across the retail enterprise and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop weekly plans with Area Managers and Store Managers for timely processing of deliveries.
  • Train locations on proper intake processes for incoming deliveries.
  • Ensure reconciliation between physical counts and inventory tracking systems.
  • Communicate with state regulatory agencies regarding inventory management.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Manager for timely invoice uploads via inventory tracking software.
  • Ensure all store and state-specific logs are updated daily.
  • Provide oversight regarding cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of retail management experience preferred, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing a remote team of inventory specialists.
  • Experience with POS systems and inventory tracking systems; METRC experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and sales.
  • Excellent organization skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive process improvements across all areas managed.
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.
  • Strong results-orientation and commitment to quality, performance, and deliverables.
  • Effective multi-tasker with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to correspond professionally.
  • Knowledge of state and local regulations preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check and is 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain required state licenses based on work location.
