About the position

The Retail Inventory Manager at C3 Industries is responsible for managing the inventory assets across all High Profile retail locations. This role involves overseeing the Retail Inventory Specialist and providing guidance on various inventory management tasks, including cycle counts, full physical inventories, adjustments, reconciliations, and managing expiring and aging inventory. The manager will also ensure that the correct intake processes and procedures are followed. Monthly reporting on Adjustment Dollars and Discrepancies is a key responsibility, and the manager will collaborate with Area Managers and Store Managers to mitigate loss effectively. In addition to these responsibilities, the Retail Inventory Manager will partner with the Director of Retail Operations and Retail Field Specialist to identify and implement inventory process improvements and efficiencies. They will work closely with the Retail Inventory Specialist and Buying and Planning partners to create and maintain comprehensive inventory reporting across the retail enterprise, providing support to resolve any discrepancies that may arise. The manager will maintain an active knowledge of incoming inventory and on-hand inventory levels, developing weekly plans with Area Managers, Store Managers, and Dispensary Teams to ensure timely processing of deliveries. Training is a critical aspect of this role, as the manager will ensure that all locations are properly trained on the intake process for incoming deliveries, ensuring that products match manifest descriptions and resolving any variances with Buyers. The manager will also oversee the reconciliation of physical counts with backend counts and ensure compliance with state and local regulations. This position requires strong communication skills, as the manager will interact with state regulatory agencies and collaborate with various internal teams to optimize store performance and ensure efficient operations from intake through to customer purchase at the POS.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory assets in all High Profile retail locations.
  • Oversee the Retail Inventory Specialist role and provide guidance on inventory management tasks.
  • Provide monthly reporting on Adjustment Dollars and Discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Area Managers and Store Managers to mitigate loss.
  • Partner with the Director of Retail Operations on inventory process improvements.
  • Work with Retail Inventory Specialist and Buying and Planning partners to maintain inventory reporting.
  • Develop weekly plans with Area Managers and Store Managers for timely processing of deliveries.
  • Ensure proper training on intake processes for all incoming deliveries.
  • Resolve manifest variances with Buyers and address labeling issues with Retail Compliance Manager.
  • Ensure reconciliation between physical counts and backend counts.
  • Communicate with state regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Manager on timely invoice uploads via inventory tracking software.
  • Oversee all aspects of retail inventory operations from intake to customer purchase.
  • Ensure daily updates of store and state-specific logs.
  • Provide oversight regarding cycle counts and assist with physical inventories as needed.
  • Train employees on Retail Operations Work Instructions and ERP systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of retail management experience preferred, or equivalent.
  • Experience managing a remote team of inventory specialists.
  • Experience with POS systems and inventory tracking systems; METRC experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and sales.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to drive process improvements across managed areas.
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Strong results-orientation and commitment to quality and performance.
  • Effective multi-tasker with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of state and local regulations preferred.
  • Ability to pass a background check and is 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain required state licenses based on work location.
