The Key Carrier Coordinator at Sierra Trading Post plays a crucial role in supporting store operations by alternating between Coordinator and Key Carrier responsibilities. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service, leadership, and adherence to company policies while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. The Key Carrier Coordinator is expected to maintain operational standards, assist in training associates, and promote a culture of integrity and safety within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Role models exceptional customer service and creates a positive customer experience.
  • Acts as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policy and procedure.
  • Ensures store team performs tasks in accordance with store plans and prioritizes as needed.
  • Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to associates.
  • Maintains accurate associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
  • Ensures associates adhere to all operational procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicates effectively with management and associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provides feedback, recognition, and coaching to associates.
  • Partners with management on associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
  • Promotes credit and loyalty programs and participates in shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintains a safe environment and promotes safety awareness.

Requirements

  • 1 year of retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively coach, delegate, and follow up on multiple tasks
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in organizational skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
  • Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores
