The Key Carrier Coordinator at Sierra Trading Post plays a crucial role in supporting store operations by alternating between Coordinator and Key Carrier responsibilities. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service, leadership, and adherence to company policies while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. The Key Carrier Coordinator is expected to maintain operational standards, assist in training associates, and promote a culture of integrity and safety within the store.
Responsibilities
- Role models exceptional customer service and creates a positive customer experience.
- Acts as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policy and procedure.
- Ensures store team performs tasks in accordance with store plans and prioritizes as needed.
- Addresses immediate customer service issues and provides coaching to associates.
- Maintains accurate associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
- Ensures associates adhere to all operational procedures and guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with management and associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
- Provides feedback, recognition, and coaching to associates.
- Partners with management on associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Promotes credit and loyalty programs and participates in shrink reduction goals.
- Maintains a safe environment and promotes safety awareness.
Requirements
- 1 year of retail experience
- 6 months of leadership experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
- Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively coach, delegate, and follow up on multiple tasks
- Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in organizational skills
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
- Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores
