About the position

The Key Carrier role at HomeGoods is a leadership position that supports the store's operations by alternating between the Coordinator role and Key Carrier responsibilities. This position is essential for maintaining store standards, ensuring exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive work environment. Key Carriers must be flexible with their schedules, including availability for nights and weekends, and are expected to model integrity and promote a culture of teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Ensure store team performs tasks in accordance with the store plan and prioritize as needed.
• Address immediate customer service issues and provide coaching to Associates.
• Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
• Ensure Associates adhere to all operational procedures and execute opening/closing procedures according to guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
• Provide feedback, recognition, and coaching to Associates to enhance their effectiveness.
• Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs and support shrink reduction goals.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• 1 year of retail experience
• 6 months of leadership experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Effective coaching, delegation, and follow-up abilities
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures
• Understanding of merchandise flow in stores
