About the position

The Retail Key Carrier Customer Experience Supervisor at Sierra plays a crucial role in enhancing customer service and operational efficiency within the store. This position serves as an elevated extension of the Coordinator role, where the Key Carrier alternates responsibilities based on store needs, primarily acting as a Coordinator while also taking on leadership duties. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, adherence to company policies, and effective team management to create a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Model exceptional customer service and create a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Act as Manager on Duty, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the store team performs tasks in accordance with the store plan and prioritize as needed.
  • Address immediate customer service issues and provide appropriate coaching to Associates.
  • Exercise discretion regarding customer service policies to satisfy customers.
  • Maintain accurate Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience.
  • Ensure Associates adhere to all operational procedures and execute opening/closing procedures according to company guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and provide progress updates.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback to and from Associates.
  • Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support shrink reduction goals.
  • Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Knowledge of company standard software, systems, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of merchandise flow in stores.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Able to effectively coach, delegate, and follow up on multiple people/tasks.
  • Able to act quickly under challenging circumstances.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months leadership experience.
