About the position

The Retail Key Holder at Party City is responsible for leading by example in providing exceptional customer service and creating a joyful shopping experience. This role involves managing store operations, ensuring the store is customer-ready, and fostering a fun and customer-obsessed culture. Key Holders also play a vital role in training and inspiring team members while handling various operational tasks such as opening and closing the store, managing cash, and resolving customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including alarm activation and deactivation.
• Count and prepare tills for store opening and balance them at the end of the day.
• Prepare deposits and count the safe.
• Perform customer service interventions at registers, including price overrides, discounts, refunds, and exchanges.
• Act as Leader on Duty (LOD) in the absence of Store Team Leader or Team Leader.
• Review and validate that Daily Party Plan tasks are completed when performing LOD functions.
• Solve customer-related issues while acting in the LOD role.
• Execute Emergency Response procedures as needed when acting in the LOD function.
• Receive freight and maintain receiving procedures.
• Prepare balloon orders for the next day.
• Recover and clean the store, including sales floor, counter, backroom, breakroom, bathroom, and office.
• Conduct daily scan audits and communicate via Party Central.
