About the position

The Retail Key Holder at Party City plays a crucial role in creating a joyful shopping experience for customers. This part-time position involves leading by example, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring the store is always ready for customers. Key Holders are responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash tills, and resolving customer issues, all while fostering a fun and customer-obsessed environment.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, including alarm activation and deactivation.
• Count and prepare tills for store opening and balance them at the end of the day.
• Prepare deposits and count the safe.
• Perform customer service interventions at registers, including price overrides, discounts, refunds, and exchanges.
• Act as Leader on Duty (LOD) in the absence of Store Team Leader or Team Leader.
• Review and validate that Daily Party Plan tasks are completed when performing LOD functions.
• Solve customer-related issues while acting in the LOD role.
• Execute Emergency Response procedures as needed when acting in the LOD function.
• Receive freight and maintain receiving procedures.
• Prepare balloon orders for the next day.
• Recover and clean the store, including sales floor, counter, backroom, breakroom, bathroom, and office.
• Conduct daily scan audits and review communications on Party Central.
