About the position

The Retail Keyholder at GameStop plays a crucial role in supporting the store management team by executing and supervising store activities with a focus on providing exceptional guest service. This position is responsible for ensuring a clean and organized shopping environment, boosting sales through product knowledge, and fostering guest loyalty. The Retail Keyholder also assists in inventory control and loss prevention while maintaining operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide best-in-class guest service by greeting guests and addressing their questions and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, to nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Address guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, ensuring top-notch guest service.
  • Promote GameStop's unique guest benefits, such as the new title reservations program and the Pro Rewards guest loyalty program.
  • Ensure that all areas of the store are clean, organized, and merchandised according to company guidelines.
  • Complete Omni-Channel orders daily.
  • Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.
  • Conduct store inventory counts and restock merchandise on shelves and fixtures.
  • Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals.
  • Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system.
  • Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages and report any discrepancies to the Store Manager.
  • Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
  • Consistently adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including all policies in the Associate Handbook and the Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.

Requirements

  • Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
  • Video game knowledge preferred.
  • Must be able to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred.
