About the position

The Retail Manager 2 at Sodexo will oversee multiple retail locations at the University at Albany, focusing on customer service excellence and innovative food options. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage retail units, including a Starbucks and a convenience store, while driving strategic growth and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach, mentor, and develop managers and frontline staff.
• Oversee cash handling processes, and POS programming and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company food and physical safety programs and standards.
• Maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (both national and in-house brands).
• Ensure all product merchandising, marketing, and ordering standards are in place.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of retail management experience or a background in large restaurant or food concepts.
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and a passion for high-level customer service.
• Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems, as well as menu graphics programs.
