About the position

The Retail Manager - Campus Dining at Sodexo will oversee food retail locations at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, driving strategic growth with both internal and national retail brands. This role requires an innovative leader who is adept with technology and retail programs, ensuring high-quality food service while achieving financial targets and fostering client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of food retail locations.
  • Deliver high-quality food service to clients and customers.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
  • Create and implement strategic plans for growth.
  • Foster a positive work environment and team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of basic management experience.
  • 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and safety standards.
  • Ability to control cost of goods and train staff on proper standards.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and food service operations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Culinary production experience.
  • Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Experience with Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) and The Market Connection (TMC).
  • Proficient in computer skills and report management.
