About the position

The Retail Manager 3 position at Sodexo for Howard University involves overseeing day-to-day operations of high-volume quick service retail locations and a food truck. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations in multiple food retail venues.
  • Deliver high-quality food service while engaging with students.
  • Lead and inspire frontline teams to achieve top culinary performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Mentor teams in accurate cash handling and operational processes.
  • Train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs and daily operation standards.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of food management experience with a focus on front of the house retail operations.
  • Previous supervisory experience and strong employee engagement leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems and cash handling management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate professional communication skills.
  • Experience promoting national brands in a campus environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Catering/banquet management experience is a plus.
