About the position

The Retail Manager II is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, achieving growth goals, ensuring operational efficiencies, and developing Financial Service Representatives in a branch with assets between $50 and $125 million. This role emphasizes building and maintaining client relationships while adhering to First Interstate Bank's service commitments and corporate values. It is a producing position that requires active engagement in the delivery of financial services and products.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates integrated delivery of financial services and products, including customized lending, cash management, and investment management.
• Manages the effective use of client relationship management software, ensuring appropriate activities and referrals are recorded.
• Ensures operational efficiency, compliance, and quality standards are met.
• Participates in and enforces all aspects of branch security in accordance with bank policies.
• Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations and completes required training.
• Fosters the corporate culture of First Interstate Bank in all actions and words.
• Takes personal initiative and serves as a positive example for others.
• Ensures positive community relations in the branch market area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 4-6 years experience in the banking industry, including supervisory or management experience required.
• Ability to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject-matter expert.
• Demonstrated sales skills and effective use of tact and diplomacy with clients and co-workers.

Nice-to-haves

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Consumer and Small Business lending origination experience preferred.
• Notary Certification preferred.
