About the position

The Retail Management Training Program at Blain's Farm and Fleet is designed to provide hands-on training in all areas of store operations. Trainees will shadow and assist store management, learn about various store departments, and develop skills necessary for a successful career in retail management. This program emphasizes customer service excellence and prepares candidates for future leadership roles within the company.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on training in all areas of store operation.
• Shadow and assist Store Management with running the store.
• Learn the basics of progressive disciplinary and performance improvements.
• Communicate effectively with store associates and management.
• Learn the pillars of the Associate Recognition program (G.R.O.W.).
• Fulfill duties of various store level associate positions.
• Become familiar with and participate in each store department and its responsibilities.
• Perform morning walk-throughs of the entire store.
• Learn store HR processes and the role of the Training Coordinator.
• Participate in Pricing Team activities including ad prep, ad set, ad take-down, and price changes.
• Assist with store support activities such as merchandise receiving, inventory control, and stocking.
• Learn and assist with the associate interviewing process.

Requirements

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends to meet business needs.
• Passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Valid driver's license required.
