About the position
Post Ranch Inn, the world renowned hotel in Big Sur, is looking for qualified candidates to apply for our Retail Manager position. As a member of the Post Ranch Inn management team, the Retail Manager will lead the retail operation and sales team to ensure a world class guest experience at both our on property boutiques and e-commerce site. Core responsibilities include the ability to maximize the sales productivity through effective selling techniques, client development and special events. This position will be required to work weekends and holidays as needed and spend a majority of their time executing in store and e-commerce sales along with developing proactive sales and inventory strategies. This position will also be involved in the Post Ranch Art Program to support curation, exhibits, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead the retail operation and sales team.
- Maximize sales productivity through effective selling techniques.
- Develop client relationships and organize special events.
- Execute in-store and e-commerce sales.
- Develop proactive sales and inventory strategies.
- Support the Post Ranch Art Program with curation, exhibits, and sales.
Requirements
- High School diploma required; college education preferred.
- At least 5 years of retail management experience.
- Marketing experience is required.
- Prior supervisory and customer service experience.
- Proven track record of sales development and initiatives.
- E-commerce and website design experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods on the sales floor.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
