About the position

The Retail Media Buyer, Shopper supports the execution and optimization of retail media campaigns aimed at driving engagement, brand visibility, and key business results. This role requires a foundational understanding of retail media platforms, campaign execution, and analytical tools to assist in the effective management and optimization of retail media strategies. The Retail Media Buyer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, retail media networks, and external partners to ensure campaigns are integrated, data-driven, and performance-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize retail media campaigns on key retailer platforms such as Albertsons Media Collective, Walmart Connect, Target Roundell, and Kroger Precision Marketing.
  • Support Sr. Omni-Channel Manager in tracking budgets and managing invoices for retail media efforts. Ensure campaigns are properly pacing to allocated budgets.
  • Collaborate with retailer media teams and vendors to stay updated on platform capabilities, best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Develop precise audience segmentation strategies based on shopper behavior, demographics, and purchase history.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics, including CPMs, conversion rates, and sales lift, to provide actionable insights and optimize strategies.
  • Deliver regular performance reports, highlighting key learnings and providing data-driven recommendations to cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with omni-channel team, brand marketing and sales teams to align retail media strategies with broader brand goals.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives and explore innovative retail media formats to drive shopper engagement and conversion.
  • Conduct market research to understand competitive retail media strategies and provide recommendations accordingly.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in managing retail media platforms (e.g., Amazon Advertising, Walmart Connect, Albertsons Media Collective, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of analytics and data interpretation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail media buying, shopper marketing, or a similar role.
