In this role, you will be responsible for managing client relationships by understanding their goals and providing strategic recommendations. You will lead meetings and create proposals that align with client objectives. Your collaboration with internal teams will be crucial to ensure that campaign strategies are aligned, performance updates are communicated effectively, and that you stay current with industry trends. This position requires a strong background in programmatic spending management, performance marketing, and familiarity with various ad technologies and retail media solutions. Strong communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role. You will develop and execute retail media strategies that are aligned with overall business goals, focusing on driving sales and increasing visibility. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media agencies, client teams, retailer partners, and ad technology partners, will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand management, product, and integrated marketing, to ensure that advertising strategies align with overall business objectives. Your ability to create compelling proposals and presentations will be vital in representing solutions designed around client goals. As the main point of contact for retail clients, you will lead client meetings to understand their needs and drive client success. You will oversee the end-to-end execution of digital advertising campaigns on demand-side platforms (DSPs), optimizing campaign performance by analyzing data and adjusting targeting parameters. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you monitor spending and adjust as needed to achieve campaign goals. You will also collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling ad creatives and support post-campaign analysis, providing recommendations to promote repeat business. In addition, you will provide regular reporting and insights on campaign performance to stakeholders and clients, conduct A/B testing, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Staying current with industry trends and monitoring competitors' advertising strategies will be essential to maintain a competitive advantage. You will also troubleshoot technical issues related to ad serving and tracking, ensuring that you adapt recommendations based on advertiser needs. This role requires a proactive approach to developing competitive analysis and adapting strategies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute retail media strategies aligned with overall business goals, focusing on driving sales and increasing visibility.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media agencies, client teams, retailer partners, and ad technology partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand management, product, and integrated marketing to align advertising strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Create proposals and presentations to represent solutions designed around client goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for retail clients and lead client meetings to understand client needs.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of digital advertising campaigns on demand-side platforms (DSPs).
  • Optimize campaign performance by analyzing data, adjusting targeting parameters, and ensuring efficient spending.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics (NTB, Sales, CTR, etc.) and provide actionable insights.
  • Monitor spending and adjust as needed to achieve campaign goals.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling ad creatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and create supporting documentation.
  • Support post-campaign analysis, providing recommendations to promote repeat business.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on campaign performance to stakeholders and clients.
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiment with different advertising approaches to identify successful strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling opportunities, inclusive of improvement and innovation, proactively implementing changes to drive performance and efficiency.
  • Monitor competitors' advertising strategies and industry trends, recommending adjustments to maintain a competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience managing programmatic spending across a retail media platform (Amazon DSP, Trade Desk, Google DV 360, Yahoo DSP) with a track record of achieving client objectives.
  • Proficiency in performance marketing, conversion optimization, and online customer acquisition.
  • Understanding of SEM to pair with Programmatic.
  • Experience with ad technology that supports retail media solutions, such as Skai, Pacvue, Hellium10, Analytic Index, and Amazon Marketing Cloud.
  • An exceptional eye for detail, analytical skills, and the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to operate in a client-facing role across diverse client groups.
  • Command of essential Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in formulas, functions, and pivot tables.
  • Adept in project and campaign management across concurrent clients and campaigns.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable leading and presenting recommendations to clients.
  • Ability to nurture collaborative relationships and demonstrate a collaborative and curious spirit.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and manage multiple priorities and concurrent deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with DSPs (e.g., Google DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP).
  • Understanding of programmatic buying, real-time bidding, and audience segmentation.
  • Experience with one or more retail media solutions (Amazon, Walmart, Target/Roundel, Instacart) and associated ad technology (AMC, Criteo, Citrus Ads, Skai).
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitive landscape.
