About the position

The Retail Merchandise Associate at TJ Maxx is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. This role involves engaging with customers, adhering to operational standards, and supporting various store functions to meet business needs. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store, contributing to a positive store culture and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, counting change back according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs to customers.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company standards.
• Participate in store recovery throughout the day to maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback among peers and supervisors.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
