About the position
This position is a hybrid role focused on planning and demand forecasting for a Clothing & Beauty Retail Client. The role involves translating the Merchant's vision into actionable plans that drive profitability and align with financial targets. It requires collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize product assortments and ensure accurate demand forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Translate the Merchant's vision into viable plans and profitable results.
- Develop and maintain sales, inventory, and margin plans that align with financial targets for an assigned book of business.
- Plan for Sub-Brand, Category/Class, and assortment strategies.
- Partner with the Merchant & Planner to optimize assortments by cluster and distribution channels (Stores, Internet, Catalogue, Wholesale).
- Collaborate with the Demand Forecaster to ensure demand plans are based on statistical forecasts, merchandise plans, and business insights.
Requirements
- Experience in retail planning and demand forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills to develop sales and inventory plans.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Merchants and Planners.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the Clothing & Beauty retail sector.
- Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods.
