About the position

The Retail Merchandise Processor plays a crucial role in the store team at Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona, focusing on delivering an excellent customer experience and promoting sales. This position is responsible for processing donated merchandise, ensuring it is prepared for sale, and maintaining the store's operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process merchandise, including pricing and ticketing, to meet minimum quotas.
• Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Safeguard company property, including donated goods, and report any incidents of theft or misappropriation.
• Understand that all donated merchandise is the property of GCNA and cannot be given away.
• Maintain the sales floor and work station by following established standards.
• Stock merchandise in the appropriate area as assigned.
• Be cross-trained in all processing departments as needed.
• Inspect donated merchandise for quality and proper categorization.
• Inform leaders of any hazardous materials found during processing.
• Follow and ensure compliance with all safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
