About the position

The alcohol beverage category is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing in retail. As a Retail Marketing Manager, you will lead merchandise and point-of-sale efforts for gift shops, DTC eCommerce, Brand Experiences and Trade Marketing point-of-sale collateral. This role focuses on examining consumer data and insights to inform merchandise assortments in our owned retail channels and collaborating cross-functionally with Guest Experience, Brand Experiences, DTC eCommerce, and Trade Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will analyze assortment performance, identify opportunities to refine and tailor selections to meet customer needs and ensure alignment with trade marketing initiatives. By leveraging consumer insights, channel data, and company values, the Retail Marketing Manager will support the company's strategic goals and enhance the consumer experience across all retail touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Guest Experience, Trade Marketing, and DTC eCommerce teams to analyze and align assortment strategies by channel, ensuring inventory levels match consumer demand and sales objectives across all retail channels.
  • Continuously monitor inventory performance, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize stock levels and reduce obsolescence risks, leveraging analytics for insights on sales, inventory turnover, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and adapt assortment strategies by channel, ensuring seasonal and trend-based product selections meet consumer demand and align with trade marketing goals.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between Direct Consumer Engagement, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Brand Experiences, driving cohesive retail execution across physical locations, online platforms, and within trade environments.
  • Lead the strategic planning, creative ideation and execution of trade marketing point-of-sale materials, ensuring alignment with product launches, promotions, and sales initiatives in partnership with the Commerce Agency, Trade Marketing, and Sales teams.
  • Support Gift Shop and DTC eCommerce teams in curating and planning seasonal product assortments, staying current with market trends and consumer preferences to enhance assortment strategy and align with profitability benchmarks.
  • Act as a liaison with Brand Marketing to develop and approve all merchandise and point-of-sale materials, ensuring consistency with brand standards and integration into platform activations.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for retail marketing initiatives, overseeing trade point-of-sale pre-order processes with the national sales team to ensure accurate order quantities and alignment with trade programs.
  • Collaborate closely with the procurement team to provide guidance on vendor and product selection, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables for seamless execution across all retail touchpoints.
  • Ensure creative approvals of merchandise are in alignment with brand standards and gain the necessary approvals from brand and creative to create brand cohesion.
  • Must be willing to work non-standard hours, including some nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, liberal arts or related field OR any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5 years in retail procurement or retail marketing required.
  • Previous experience managing merchandise assortment with data analytics responsibilities required.
  • Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced, competitive environments preferred.
  • Must have proven track record of successfully leading and executing projects with successful results.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional and production/operations teams.
  • Need to exhibit thorough knowledge of both the production and commercial processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with PowerBI.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Thrives in change and comfortable with ambiguity.
