About the position

The Retail Mortgage Producing Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) to achieve production goals and drive sales of mortgage loans. This role involves executing strategic plans, managing relationships with clients and internal partners, and ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulations. The manager will also focus on improving client service quality and enhancing the digital client experience.

Responsibilities

• Achieve production goals through personal production and effective leadership of the MLO team.
• Drive sales of mortgage loans by executing a strategic plan and managing relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ensure adherence to Truist Lending policies, government regulations, and compliance standards.
• Continuously improve client service quality by adopting digital client experience and managing mortgage processes.
• Champion partnerships between the sales team and operations, assisting with document follow-up as needed.
• Stay informed about local real estate market conditions and mortgage product trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience.
• 5+ years of mortgage industry experience or experience in the financial services field.
• Experience managing a team of 4+ Mortgage Loan Originators.
• Strong understanding of mortgage lending and knowledge of all types of mortgage loans.
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to recruit and retain productive, engaged teammates.
• Registered and maintains an active Truist sponsored registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLSR).
