About the position

As a Retail Operations & Analysis Specialist at Converse, you will play a pivotal role within the Direct to Consumer store team, focusing on the accurate management and governance of store operations-related processes and retail critical metrics. This position is integral to ensuring that our stores operate with precision and efficiency, driving business results and enhancing the consumer experience. You will work closely with commercial and business partners to identify potential issues and opportunities in stores early on, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve these challenges effectively. Your responsibilities will include developing toolkits and training content for staff, as well as gaining a deep understanding of retail strategies and the direct-to-consumer approach. You will provide support for key strategic projects and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the systems and processes that enable our work. Translating business data into meaningful insights will be a key aspect of your role, as you review monthly reports on store critical metrics to ensure that performance objectives are met and to highlight any potential opportunities for improvement. Additionally, you will research and drive resolution for store operations opportunities across various countries, conducting root cause analyses as necessary. Your collaboration with business partners and team members will be essential in ensuring that stores meet important metrics and deliver a premium consumer experience. You will also be responsible for briefing and managing vendors to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with commercial and business partners to drive process and store operational precision.
  • Identify potential issues and opportunities in stores early and drive resolution in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Develop toolkits and staff training content.
  • Gain a deep understanding of retail strategies and store operations processes.
  • Support key strategic projects and the evolution of systems and processes.
  • Translate business data into meaningful insights throughout the seasons.
  • Review monthly reports on store critical metrics to ensure performance objectives are met.
  • Research and drive resolution for store operations opportunities, including root cause analyses.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure stores perform to important metrics and deliver a premium consumer experience.
  • Brief and manage vendors to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in retail/operations/process/context planning roles (alternatives accepted: PhD or Law + 1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates + 1-3 yrs; High School + 3-5 yrs).
  • Strong analytical and data management experience.
  • Affinity for retail operations and passion for product and consumer.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across multiple aspects of a retail business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to learn and work independently while balancing multiple priorities and meeting target goals.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong digital literacy including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint (experience with Sigma and Tableau is a benefit).
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Proficient in English; ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Sigma and Tableau for data analysis.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish.
