About the position

As a Retail Operations and Development Specialist I at Optimum, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of retail stores. This field-based position requires strong collaboration with local leaders and involves significant travel to enhance the sales process and improve operational efficiency. Your primary focus will be on championing retail operational excellence and working closely with the Retail Operations and Sales team to solve problems and enhance both customer and employee experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage the rule, not the exceptions, to champion retail operational excellence and channel-wide solutions related to sales processes, tools, and applications.
• Act as the eyes and ears to identify opportunities and propose solutions to the HQ team.
• Interact with a high daily volume of concerns, process orders, answer questions, and assist with overall needs from the retail team.
• Perform, organize, and streamline operational tasks to reduce potential errors.
• Monitor problems through reports and take immediate action where necessary, resolving escalations when required.
• Assist with testing of existing and new retail tools and applications, such as POS and billing systems.
• Provide technical assistance to retail stores in-person and via email/Microsoft Teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of sales, operations, or related experience is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office including Teams, Excel, Access, Word, and SharePoint.
• Experience with front-end and back-end sales systems, including POS systems, CRM systems, and sales automation tools.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and self-sufficient with strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Curious and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize actions based on business acumen.
• Desire to grow and learn!
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to travel up to 75% to be regularly present in the Optimum field across the footprint.
