About the position

The Retail Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the growth and profitability of Cole Haan's retail stores. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager of Retail Operations (Training and Development), this part-time position involves a variety of tasks and projects that are essential for the smooth operation of retail activities. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing and submitting invoices and receipts into Cole Haan's financial management system, specifically using SAP software. This task is vital for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring that all transactions are properly documented. In addition to financial management, the Retail Operations Coordinator will engage in data entry to support various retail store projects, including new store openings and training initiatives. This role requires effective management of project timelines and calendars, necessitating regular follow-up with relevant partners to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule. The coordinator will also assist in the distribution of sales reporting, which is critical for analyzing store performance and making informed business decisions. Another key responsibility includes the coordination and build-out of retail training materials, which are essential for equipping store staff with the necessary knowledge and skills. The coordinator will escalate any product or store-related concerns to the appropriate partners, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly. Additionally, the role involves managing, packing, and shipping content to retail stores, which is vital for maintaining inventory and supporting store operations. Store visits may be required to ensure alignment between operations and field activities, providing an opportunity for the coordinator to engage directly with store teams and assess operational effectiveness. Overall, this position is designed for individuals who are organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Organization and submission of invoices and receipts into Cole Haan's financial Management System (SAP Software) as assigned
  • Data entry to support various retail store projects including New Store Openings, Training, and General Operations
  • Management of project timelines/calendars and follow-up with appropriate partners needed
  • Support with distribution of sales reporting
  • Assist with the coordination and build out of Retail Training Materials
  • Escalate product and store related concerns to the appropriate partners
  • Manage, pack, and ship content being sent to retail stores
  • Execute store operations special projects as needed
  • Conduct store visits as necessary to ensure operations and field alignment

Requirements

  • Ability to work mornings/afternoons Monday-Thursday
  • HS Diploma/GED Required
  • Bachelor's degree or 1+ years' experience in a corporate work environment
  • Retail Experience or a strong curiosity in learning how retail works
  • Maintains professionalism with all levels of the organization
  • Can work comfortably both independently and as a member of a team
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, self-driven and possesses a high degree of initiative
  • Capable of managing time and committed to achieving goals
  • Experience multi-tasking with the ability to handle changing priorities and manage stress
  • Proficient with all Microsoft 365 suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Teams)
  • Comfortable using shared applications (i.e., SharePoint, Dropbox)
  • Ability to learn new operating systems and software applications
