About the position

This full-time role will assist the Retail Supervisor in guiding the team towards a balance of customer engagement and operational excellence. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for ordering and setting up new products, sales reports, and inventory functions, and collaborates with the Gift Shop, Tours, and Taproom to ensure an amazing experience for guests. The position requires a proactive approach to managing multiple inventory processes and administrative tasks, including retail supplies replenishment, beer and merchandise inventory, audit, transaction and reconciliation processes, and Direct to Consumer (DTC) collaboration and execution. The Operations Coordinator will also develop and maintain periodic automatic replenishment (PAR) levels and standards to ensure optimal inventory management. In addition to inventory management, the Operations Coordinator will provide direction and delegation of daily tasks to team members under the Supervisor's direction. This includes staff scheduling, managing timely breaks, overseeing incoming orders, and disseminating new product information. The role also involves working on the floor to support retail operations and assist in administrative duties such as banking and daily deposits, inventory control, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Operations Coordinator will lead new training development and system process development for more effective retail operations. Collaboration with the Tours team, Procurement team, E-commerce, and Retail will be essential for aligning marketing promotions and enhancing brand knowledge. The role requires navigating the POS system to analyze sales data and trends, strategizing for maximum selling potential for retail merchandise, setting up and editing product cards, and troubleshooting technologies. Training the team on the POS system and daily retail operations relating to inventory, systems, and processes is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the Operations Coordinator will respond to guest inquiries and assist with general retail inquiries, gift cards, returns, and exchanges, and support the Retail Supervisor with candidate interviews and the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Retail Supervisor in guiding the team towards customer engagement and operational excellence.

  • Manage multiple inventory processes including retail supplies replenishment and beer and merchandise inventory.
  • Conduct audit, transaction, and reconciliation processes.
  • Collaborate on Direct to Consumer (DTC) execution and maintain PAR levels and standards.
  • Delegate daily tasks to team members, including staff scheduling and managing incoming orders.
  • Support retail operations on the floor as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties such as banking, daily deposits, and inventory control.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for retail operations.
  • Lead training development and system process improvements for retail operations.
  • Analyze sales data and trends using the POS system to maximize selling potential.
  • Train team members on POS system and daily retail operations.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and assist with retail inquiries, gift cards, returns, and exchanges.
  • Assist the Retail Supervisor with candidate interviews and the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree preferred or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
  • 2 years Retail Experience required.
  • 1 year Specialty or High-End Retail Experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory and product ordering software platforms preferred.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for craft beer.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative and flexible environment.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office platform including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited procedures.
