About the position

The Retail Operations Manager (ROM) is responsible for leading and developing a Retail Selling and Merchandising organization within a designated geography. This role involves overseeing client and retailer relationships, managing retail store coverage, executing objectives set by clients and retailers, and ensuring high performance through effective team management and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-performing teams and ensure client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are consistently executed.
• Oversee effective retail routing and approve routing decisions for the assigned region.
• Develop team members through training and performance management tools.
• Source and integrate new associates into the organization as part of talent expansion.
• Manage and develop budgets for area of responsibility based on client needs and channel of trade.
• Grow existing business and pursue new business opportunities.
• Maintain proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders to meet client and company KPIs.
• Interpret retail reporting data and provide actionable insights for performance improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Management preferred.
• 5+ years of retail experience with associate management.
• 1-3 years of experience managing Retail Merchandisers, P&L, budgeting, and client expectations.
• Strong customer and client management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
