As a Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering knowledgeable customer service while maintaining a store that is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers want and need. You will manage a team of Cashiers and Stockers to drive efficiencies in the execution of all processes and programs related to inventory, merchandising, safety, asset protection, cashiering, and money handling to achieve team and overall store goals. Under guidance from the Store Manager, you will facilitate the hiring process, training, and performance management for Cashier and Stocking Associates. Additionally, you will actively seek to minimize shrinkage of inventory and protect the store against shoplifting and internal theft. As Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned, you will be responsible for opening and closing the store according to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver knowledgeable customer service while maintaining a clean, safe, and stocked store.
  • Manage a team of Cashiers and Stockers to drive efficiencies in inventory, merchandising, safety, asset protection, cashiering, and money handling processes.
  • Facilitate the hiring process, training, and performance management for Cashier and Stocking Associates under the guidance of the Store Manager.
  • Minimize shrinkage of inventory and protect the store against shoplifting and internal theft.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as assigned, responsible for opening and closing the store according to established policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required; 2 years of college or related technical training preferred.
  • 2 years of related retail experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead, guide, and mentor store employees.
  • Strong customer service, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment admired, but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supervising teams in a retail environment.
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment.
