About the position

The Retail Operations Specialist position at Harvard State Bank involves a combination of teller and retail operations duties. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, managing sensitive information, and promoting bank products and services. The specialist will also assist with various banking transactions and operations, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a pro-active approach and positive attitude with Customers and co-workers
• Manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information securely
• Follow established Bank policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all bank products and services
• Serve as a liaison for Spanish speaking Customers (preferred)
• Identify process improvements and areas needing attention
• Participate in departmental and bank staff meetings
• Copy, collate, and assemble materials as needed
• Promote and cross-sell bank products and services
• Assist Customers in the teller line/drive thru with various transactions
• Assist in branch operations including opening/closing the branch and vault reconciliation
• Assist Customers in person or via phone with inquiries and account maintenance
• Back-up for debit card orders and maintenance, and suspicious activity alerts review

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic knowledge of teller and bank operations or willingness to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work with general supervision
• 3 years of customer service experience
• 3 years of organizational skills experience
