About the position

Fabletics is currently looking for a Retail Operations Specialist who will play a crucial role in supporting the retail operations team to execute various retail projects. This position is integral to the overall success of all retail stores, with a strong focus on improving internal controls and processes related to in-store operations. The Retail Operations Specialist will handle many day-to-day deliverables that are internally facing, collaborating closely with store and field management teams to provide support and ensure that feedback is effectively communicated to the headquarters team. In this role, you will be responsible for building collaborative cross-functional relationships to execute and enhance processes and communications. You will deliver information to retail teams in a clear and succinct manner, utilizing a variety of communication tools to ensure understanding and appropriate responses from both field and HQ teams. The position reports to the Senior Director of Retail Operations at Fabletics. Your responsibilities will include maintaining extensive, up-to-date knowledge of all retail directives, policies, procedures, and standards, continuously updating all documentation and tools. You will impact the success of our stores by analyzing and troubleshooting current processes, determining viable solutions and improvements. You will manage a wide array of reports to inform store teams, ensuring that the retail vision is brought to life across all stores. Your attention to detail will be critical as you execute tasks with precision while meeting deadlines. You will work cross-functionally with Retail Marketing and Visual Merchandising to ensure that monthly playbooks and new initiatives are communicated clearly before being delivered to the field. Additionally, you will act as a liaison, visiting stores to measure the success of plans and recommend changes to improve operations. As a project leader on cross-functional teams, you will support ongoing company initiatives, identifying any impacts on store workload and processes, including store openings, events, physical inventory, and merchandising initiatives. You will gather and interpret data to support project decision-making and report on the success of products, programs, and services. Furthermore, you will identify training and developmental needs and develop initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance across retail stores, in partnership with the Learning and Development Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain extensive, up-to-date functional knowledge of all retail directives, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot current processes to determine viable solutions and improvements.
  • Manage a wide array of reports to inform store teams and bring the retail vision to life.
  • Work cross-functionally with Retail Marketing and Visual Merchandising to ensure clarity in monthly playbooks and new initiatives.
  • Communicate the latest retail initiatives, instructions, and directions to store teams.
  • Act as a liaison by visiting stores to measure the success of plans and recommend improvements.
  • Serve as project leader on cross-functional teams to support ongoing company initiatives.
  • Gather and interpret data to support project decision-making and share results internally and with stores.
  • Measure and report on the success of products, programs, and services.
  • Identify training and developmental needs and develop initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Represent Retail in all cross-functional meetings and initiatives as needed.
  • Work closely with Retail Tech Support and Product Manager regarding tech and apps.
  • Become a subject matter expert on promo execution and workforce management tools.
  • Craft and write employee-facing documentation and SOPs.
  • Support cycle count, shipment, floor set, and various ongoing initiatives as a contributor of the HQ store.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of retail management experience or similar.
  • Highly proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and working knowledge of retail inventory and POS systems.
  • Experience with additional software such as JIRA, Airtable, StoreForce, and Canva is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to build advanced spreadsheet models.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills, comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and take initiative when opportunities arise.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work well under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment as an assistant manager or store manager.
  • Familiarity with retail tech and apps.
