About the position

The Retail Operations Team Member at Nouria Energy is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the store during their shift, focusing on customer service and safety. This role involves interacting with customers, managing store operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Team members are empowered to provide exceptional service and contribute to the store's profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding store operations and any changes that may affect operations.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift according to company guidelines.
• Provide the best customer experience to every customer.
• Greet every customer with a smile and sincere greeting.
• Suggest possible purchases and promote specials to customers.
• Assume full responsibility for executing Nouria's customer service program at the site level.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Enforce environmental and hazardous material regulations.
• Maintain safety and security of the store and document any incidents.
• Manage the maintenance of the customer environment inside and around the store.
• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses promptly.
• Complete the new employee safety orientation procedure.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, understand, and write English at the eighth-grade level.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level.
• Ability to validate identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and carry cases of products using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to remain calm and respond according to policies in emergencies.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Ability to work in various temperature environments.
