The Retail Outlet Coordinator at The Room Place is a dynamic role that combines responsibilities of visual display coordination and retail warehouse operations. This position is essential for effective inventory management, maintaining an organized warehouse, showcasing furniture, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Unload merchandise from trucks and trailers, ensuring accurate and efficient receiving processes.
  • Organize inventory in the warehouse, including sorting, labeling, and safely storing products.
  • Build furniture using power tools and following assembly instructions to prepare items for display and customer pick-up.
  • Create a visually appealing outlet showroom by arranging furniture and setting up attractive displays.
  • Assist customers in loading furniture into their vehicles, providing friendly and helpful service.
  • Evaluate products and move them to designated zones for processing and inventory control.
  • Audit and maintain accuracy of the staging area for hold merchandise.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area, the outlet showroom and warehouse.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during all customer interactions, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with the sales floor team to maintain presentation standards and timely movement of merchandise.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to protect company assets and ensure safety in all processes.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of tools and furniture assembly is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy furniture, up to 150 pounds, with or without accommodation.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in inventory management.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
