About the position

The Retail Outlet Sales and Operations Manager plays a crucial role in the Bob's Discount Furniture organization by ensuring that stores receive inventory and merchandise is staged and sold according to the company's vision. This position is responsible for managing and motivating teams, coordinating back-end operations and sales, and maintaining high standards of customer experience. The manager is also tasked with maintaining inventory integrity, enforcing safety policies, and developing a cohesive team focused on delivering exceptional service to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage a cohesive team to support outlet sales and back-end operations.
  • Directly manage and motivate teams to meet operational and sales goals.
  • Maintain warehouse safety and outlet standards, including merchandising and inventory guidelines.
  • Drive productivity and sales on the sales floor and warehouse.
  • Ensure timely and effective customer experience opportunities.
  • Maintain the integrity of location inventory and validate merchandise processes.
  • Recruit, hire, and train Retail Outlet Experience Specialists and Retail Product Support Associates.
  • Conduct regular department meetings to review progress and company initiatives.
  • Complete annual reviews and assess performance of team members.
  • Partner with Store and Human Resource Management for employee discipline and new hire orientations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the backroom and showroom according to standards.
  • Analyze reports to maximize back-end operations and sales efficiency.
  • Responsible for inventory cycle counts and logistics management.
