About the position

The Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position focused on supporting the DIY automotive business. This role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, enabling the individual to assist customers with advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance. The position involves managing DIY services and ensuring high standards of customer service and store appearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
• Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance standards
• Key holder responsibilities including task assignment and completion, safety, and open/close duties
• Assist in store inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of store systems and advanced automotive system knowledge
• Ability to source parts from various places including special orders and second sources
• In-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes
• Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (Spanish a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and parts catalogs
• Strong organizational skills and ability to use Microsoft software (Word, Excel) effectively
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license

Nice-to-haves

• ASE certification preferred but not required
• Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions
