About the position

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience through friendly engagement and knowledgeable service. This entry-level position involves actively connecting with customers, recommending products and services, and contributing to a vibrant sales culture while maintaining store standards and supporting operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to support a positive customer-centric experience.
• Utilize the selling program to promote the sale of the best solutions and additional products/services.
• Maintain store and print department appearance according to company guidelines, ensuring a neat and clean environment.
• Adhere to standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
• Follow established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
• Ensure the freight sorting area is organized and set up according to guidelines.
• Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
• Develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through training and education in Tech and Print products/services.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and support loss prevention efforts.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
• No previous experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology for job-related tasks.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to establish selling relationships with clients and associates.
• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation and process inventory.
